This course is scheduled as a weekly series of classes or as a multi-day camp for youth focusing on what we eat, how we eat as well as movement and behaviors that support a positive attitude about healthy lifestyle choices.Instruction topics include basic nutrition concepts, positive eating habits, food preparation, cleanliness, dance, fitness, social and dining etiquette.
Daily hands-on activities will involve participants preparing easy yet healthy foods that taste great and engaging in physical activity. Great for all ages to be better prepared to make healthier choices at school, afterschool and when away from home (whether gone a few days or few weeks). Personal apron and reference materials included. Targeted age groups: 7 - 10; 11-14 and 15-17. Scheduled in Plano - effective Summer 2010.
