How do I purchase Zumba Merchandise?
Limited merchandise for women and children is available at the Allen Studio location - primarily tanks and shirts....pants , DVDs, and music sometimes.  Orders are placed as needed to replenish our small inventory.  Occasionally, we will special order for current clients.  As of June 2009, any/all Zumba merchandise available may be ordered directly from Zumba Fitness LLC at www.zumba.com.

What are the best shoes to wear in a Zumba class?
Zumba Fitness recommends that you wear "cross training" or "aerobic" style shoes to provide the cushion and medial lateral support needed for side-to-side movements.  They also have low traction rubber for easy sliding and turning.  We also recommend and offer Slip-On Dancers, which allow you to dance in your running or athletic shoes.  Slip-On dancers give you the power off adjustable traction.  They fit on regular shoes in seconds, may help reduce the risk of twisting knee injuries and allow your hips to move more freely.  Most athletic shoes have large 'grips" in the ball of the foot, which is needed for many fitness activities, however in Zumba, there is more hip movement and if the hip stays gripped to the floor because of the shoe tread, the knee can be twisted.  Slip-On Dancers are spcially designed to smooth the offending treads in the "Spin Spot", allowing you to slide and spin - without sacrificing the foot support needed for fitness.  Visit their website.

How many calories can I burn in your classes offered?
The number of calories each person burns per class varies.  However, depending on your body parameters (i.e., body type, weight and composition, range of motion and intensity you workout at), you can burn several hundreds of calories per class.  Current and former clients have recorded 350-800 calories in 50-55min. Zumba classes; 300-550 calories in 45-50 minute Miss Fit Bootcamp classes; 250-400 calories in 45-50 minute Zenergy Bellydance classes;  200-350 calories in Zenfit Yoga & Zendurance Barre classes.

Can I register for multiple months or sessions at a time?
For Murphy and Plano class locations, you can only register for multiple sessions/months as the classes are made available via City website in August, January, March and May. 

Are your classes for women only?
Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, Zenfit Yoga and Zendurance Barre classes are open to men, unless stated otherwise by facility or class description. Classes that are part of our Miss Fit Program are for women only - at any site/location.  From time to time, we schedule "women-only"events also.
