Food, FitMoves & Attitude - Youth & Adult Programs

This course is scheduled as a weekly series of classes for adults or a multi-day camp for youth focusing on what we eat, how we eat as well as movement and behaviors that support a positive attitude about healthy lifestyle choices.  Instruction topics include basic nutrition concepts, positive eating habits, food preparation, cleanliness, dance, fitness, and dining etiquette - youth camps include social etiquette also.  

Youth Camp
Daily hands-on activities will involve participants preparing easy yet healthy foods that taste great and engaging in physical activity.  Great for all ages to be better prepared to make healthier choices at school, afterschool and when away from home (whether gone a few days or few weeks).  Personal apron and reference materials included.  Targeted age groups:  7 - 10; 11-14 and 15-17.  Scheduled in
Plano - effective Summer 2010.  May also be scheduled as private class for groups, contact us for details.

Adult Workshop Series
Learn habits that will have a positive impact on your health & social lifestyle not only when choosing food, but also when eating food.  Practical strategies are shared for breaking the diet failure cycle and achieving lasting fitness and health.  Gain a better understanding of portion control, nutrition information, weight management, how to choose the proper balance of the right foods for optimal health.   Understand the functional components of foods, phytochemicals and supplementation for nutrition and dietary regimes for prevention and treatment of disease.  Eat well when dining out and minimize unhealthy choices with practical tips for healthy meal planning, shopping and comprehensive dining etiquette for many occasions.
