I was born and raised in the Philippines, but came to Texas as soon and as fast as I could. As a self proclaimed fitness junkie, I have tried many forms of cardio-exercise using the treadmill, stair stepper, rowing machine and elliptical. I had gotten bored of jumping from one machine to another, but never considered group exercise thinking "it's not my cup of tea" - that is, until I saw a Zumba fitness infomercial on TV more than a year ago. My passion for music (whether I'm singing or dancing to it) and my early exposure to Latin dances got me curious. I took one of Andy's Zumba classes and was immediately hooked!
I am also a Basic Life Support Instructor (CPR/AED) and a registered nurse with 20 years experience under my belt. I am excited to add "Zumba Instructor" to my resume, knowing that I have discovered another way of helping people in their quest for a healthy life.
