Flexible Web-based e-learning is available! Many American Heart Association online courses are blended learning. Students learn cognitive skills online through Web-based, self-paced modules, then practice and test the skills they have learned with an American Heart Association Instructor.* There are three parts. Part 1 - Online cognitive lessons; Part 2 - Hands-on skills practice; Part 3 - Hands-on skills testing. Skills sessions - Parts 2 & 3 - are not included with the purchase of an online - part 1 - course key. * Depending on the course completion requirements, skills sessions may be conducted by American Heart Association ACLS or BLS Instructors or a Heartsaver® Skills Evaluators™ .
Upon successful completion of the Skills Test (part 2 and 3), students receive the appropriate course completion card, issued by the instructor and their respective American Heart Association Training Center.
