CPR & First Aid Classes/ Certification

Do you know CPR?  Are you confident in your CPR skills?  Do you have children or work with children?  Do you have a pool?  Do you coach a sport or instruct a fitness class?   Do you have older family members in the home?  Do you work or interact around others that could possibly have or experience breathing problems?  Could 911 be too late?  The questions and list of reasons could go on and on. Everyone is encouraged to learn basic life saving skills - it just makes sense! 

Our Community Classes in Allen are rewarding and can be fun.  Every effort is made to ensure our classes are as interactive and enjoyable as possible. Friendly teaching environments are very important to us.  Private classes or Skills Session  (for online learners) can be scheduled and administered at our location or yours - i

Flexible Web-based e-learning is available!  Many American Heart Association online courses are blended learning (not available for Pediatric Heartsaver & First Aid).  
Students learn cognitive skills online through Web-based, self-paced modules, then practice and test the skills they have learned with an American Heart Association Instructor.*  There are three parts.  Part 1 - Online cognitive lessons; Part 2 - Hands-on skills practice; Part 3 - Hands-on skills testing.  Skills sessions - Parts 2 & 3 - are not included with the purchase of an online - part 1 - course key.  * Depending on the course completion requirements, skills sessions may be conducted by American Heart Association ACLS or BLS Instructors or a Heartsaver® Skills Evaluators™ .

Upon successful completion of the Skills Session (part 2 and 3), students receive the appropriate course completion card, issued by the instructor and their respective American Heart Association Training Center.  To purchase an online course for Part 1, visit the American Heart Association e-learning center.

Heartsaver AED  - includes CPR
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches CPR & AED (automatic external defibrillator) use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.  This course is intended for the lay person - interest for first responder level and for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements - does not meet need of healthcare providers. Testing required for Course Completion Card.  Take a Live Class or take Part I online & schedule Part II (your skills/testing session) with us - must present Part I Certificate of Completion to instructor prior to beginning Part II and plan on 30-45 minutes for completion.  Register below.  These classes are periodically scheduled at the Allen location.  Private classes available - come to us or we can come to you*!  Register Below or  Secure Private Class with Deposit Below.

Heartsaver First Aid - includes CPR & AED
The Heartsaverr First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuiries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives in addition to CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.   Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies.   This course is appropriate for the lay person - interest for first responder level and for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements - does not meed need of healthcare providers.  To obtain a course completion card, testing is required.   Take a Live Class or take Part I online and schedule Part II (your skills/testing session) with us - must present Part I Certificate of Completion to instructor prior to beginning Part II and plan on 30-45 minutes for completion. .  Community classes periodically scheduled.  Private classes available - come to us or we can come to you*!  Register Below or  Secure Private Class with Deposit Below.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid - includes CPR & AED
The Heartsave Pediatric First Aid course teaches how to manage illness and injuiries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.  Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, AED,  infant & child CPR.  This course is appropriate for the lay person - interest for first responder level and for those involved in child care who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children's sports organizations - does not meet need of healthcare providers.   To obtain a course completion card, testing is required.  Online option is not available for this course.   We only provide this course as a private class for groups and organizations. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association offers two Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) eLearning courses for healthcare providers to receive initial or renewal training.  Both BLS for HCP courses teach:

  • 1- and 2-Rescuer CPR (adult, child, infant)
  • AED use (adult, child)
  • Bag-mask use (adult, child, infant)
  • Rescue breathing and choking (adult, child, infant)

Both courses are delivered in three parts. Part 1 is the cognitive, online portion, which is paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3). Must present Part I Certificate of Completion to instructor prior to beginning Parts 2 and 3.  Students will receive their BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card upon successful completion of all three parts.  Come to us or we can come to you.  Register Below.



Pre-Registration with applicable deposit or class registration fee is required to secure your place in a class or time for a private class or private skills session.  Deposit/ Class Registration Fee excludes cost of personal Student Workbook to study or for refresher later - workbooks provided in class for use during class.  Deposit/ Class Registration Fee is non-refundable.  Deposit/ Registration Fees may be transferred to another date with 72-hours notice.   Travel fees are applicable for services provided beyond a 10-mile radius of Allen, 75002.  Cancellation Policy & Travel Fees listed further below.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Purchases are non-refundable, however, purchase may be transferred for someone else to attend or transferred to another date with 72-hours notice.  Classes are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of paid registrations are not processed at least 72-hours prior to event (i.e., 1pm Wednesday for Saturday classes). Final Class Confirmation or Notice of Cancellation & Refund will be sent at least 48 hours prior to scheduled class date.  Online registrations are processed via PayPal for Compliments LLC. 

NOTE -  ~Travel Fees: Services beyond a 10-mile radius of Allen (75002) will incur a travel fee for the commute. If location is 11 to 19-miles beyond Allen (75002), add $15 round-trip travel fee per trip. If scheduled start time or end time is Monday-Friday between 4:45pm & 6:15pm and location is beyond 11-mile radius of Allen (75002), add $25 round-trip travel fee for traffic, time and distance. Fees paid in advance or at time of service.
